Nanoman Car Polish + Seal has been formulated with nanotechnology SiO2 ceramic particles. This formulation is specifically designed for the harsh conditions motor vehicle paint has to endure. Its anti-stick properties and easy-to-clean effect means your car will say cleaner for longer. Cleaning will now be a breeze without the need for costly chemical cleaners and shampoos.
Nanoman Car Polish + Seal forms an invisible coating which effectively repels liquids and particles of contamination such as dirt, grease and oil, brake dust and other materials that would otherwise adhere to the cars surfaces. Nanoman Car Polish + Seal is easy to apply and durable, giving your car 12 to 18 months protection after just a single application. It does not harm or effect surrounding non-metal surfaces. It is recommended using Nanoman Car Polish + Seal in conjunction with the full range of the Nanoman automotive products to provide complete protection for your car.
A small amount goes a long way. A car bonnet requires no more than 8-10 drops. Expect to use about 50-80ml per medium sized car.
1. How does Nanoman Car Polish + Seal work?
Nanoman coatings contain specifically modified functional SiO2 ceramic nanoparticles that self assemble and organize to produce a two-dimensional net matrix on the coated surface. These surfaces become hydrophobic (water repellent) and anti-stick. Water simply beads and rolls off the coated surface taking dirt and other contaminants with it.
2. Is surface preparation important?
Yes, extremely important. Please thoroughly clean and dry the surface of the vehicle before applying Nanoman Car Polish + Seal. If the car is old (e.g. 10yrs+) or the paintwork in poor condition, we recommend using a cutting compound first in order to remove ingrained impurities and smooth out the paintwork. This will ensure a better result. Nanoman Polish + Seal will not enhance a car surface that is rusted, flaking or in disrepair.
3. How do I apply Nanoman Polish + Seal?
Please apply in dry conditions and out of direct sunlight if possible. Outside temperatures of 25oC or more should be avoided as this may cause the polish to dry too quickly. Apply a few drops of the polish to a clean cloth or application pad and rub in thoroughly one section at a time ensuring that there is no visible residue left on the surface. Repeat until the entire painted surface has been completely coated. After 10-15 minutes, buff the surface down with a microfiber cloth to remove any residues. Keep car dry for at least another hour before giving it a final buff down using another clean microfiber cloth to remove any residues from the curing process and to bring out the shine. A buffing machine may be used to apply and/or buff down where the user has an appropriate level of experience.
4. Can Nanoman Car Polish + Seal harm my car?
No. Nanoman products create a protective barrier that will actually strengthen the surface. This barrier is only 50-100 nanometers thick, and is invisible to the human eye. Nanoman is UV resistant, anti-corrosive and has a high resistance to scratches and abrasions.
5. What is the durability of Nanoman Car Polish + Seal?
This will depend on exposure to environmental conditions (rain, dust and dirt, pollution etc) and frequency and use of cleaners on the surface. However, under normal conditions, the coated surface should remain protected for 12 to 18 months on surfaces in good condition.
6. Will I still have to clean the coated surfaces?
Yes. Nanoman Car Polish + Seal significantly reduces the amount of cleaning required however it will not eliminate it completely. You will no longer need to use chemical cleaners that are costly and damaging to the environment. We recommend cleaning only with water and a damp soft cloth or towel. Occasionally, you may have to use a mild/neutral cleaner to remove the occasional stubborn mark.
7. Can I use Nanoman Car Polish + Seal on non-metal surfaces?
No. Nanoman products are specifically engineered for specific surfaces. We have other products in our range designed for use on other surfaces, including wheels, windscreens, car seats and fabric drop-tops.
8. Is the coating biologically safe?
Nano coatings have been tested and have been designated biologically safe, non allergenic and ecologically beneficial. Notwithstanding this, we recommend the wearing of gloves and that the work area is sufficiently ventilated. Nanoman Car Polish + Seal should not be ingested and in the event of eye contact, washed out immediately with water.
9. Does temperature affect Nanoman Car Polish + Seal?
Nanoman is stable at varying temperatures but is best applied at temperatures above 4° Celsius. Recommended curing times will increase with increased humidity. Nanoman should be stored in a sealed container, away from light, ideally within the temperature range +5° to+25°degrees Celsius. The coated surface will be frost, temperature and UV resistant.
10. How long does it take for the coating to set?
Nanoman Car Polish + Seal requires 60 minutes to cure during which time the surface should remain completely dry and untouched. In more humid conditions, curing time will be longer. After curing, the coated surface should be polished or wiped down with a soft cloth to remove any remaining silans or residue. The surface will be at its most effective after 24 hours and should be kept dry during this time if practical.
