How does Nanoman Glass work?
Nanoman coatings contain specifically modified functional nanoparticles that self-assemble and produce a two-dimensional net matrix on the surface that becomes both hydrophobic (water repellent) and anti-stick. Water simply beads and rolls off the coated surface taking dirt and other impurities with it.
Will Nanoman harm my glass surfaces?
Definitely not. In fact, Nanoman Glass creates a protective barrier that will actually strengthen the glass. This barrier is only 50-60 nanometres thick, which is invisible to the human eye. Nanoman is UV resistant, anti-corrosive and has a high resistance to scratches and abrasions.
What is the durability of Nanoman Glass?
This will depend on the condition of the treated glass, however generally the coating will last for 5 years on pool fences and glass balustrades but will vary depending upon environmental factors.
Is the coating biologically safe?
Nanoman Glass is biologically safe and ecologically beneficial. Notwithstanding this, we recommend the wearing of gloves and that the work area be sufficiently ventilated if working indoors. Nanoman Glass should not be ingested and in the event of eye contact, washed out immediately in warm water.
Does temperature affect Nanoman Glass?
Nanoman Glass is stable at varying temperatures but is best applied at temperatures above 4°C. Recommended curing times will increase with increased humidity. Nanoman coatings should be stored in a sealed container, away from light, ideally within the temperature range +5 to +25°C. The treated glass will be frost and temperature resistant.
How can I seal large surfaces?
Nanoman Glass is best applied to all surfaces (large or small) by spraying on and then rubbing in with a clean, non-abrasive cloth. Work in small sections at a time and thoroughly rub in the nano coating as applied until the entire surface has been coated. Do not over apply or use too much product as this is not required. Do not apply a second coat. Avoid applying in wet and windy conditions.
Do I have to mask up surrounding areas?
No, Nanoman Glass will not harm or damage surrounding surfaces like rubber or metal. Any overspray can be simply wiped off with a dry cloth.
Can I apply Nanoman products on surfaces that have been sealed with other products?
Yes, but the surfaces should be pre-cleaned thoroughly using either Nanoman Pre-Cleaner or Methylated Spirits. The surface to be treated has to be clean, completely dry and grease free prior to any application of Nanoman coating.
How do I clean surfaces treated with Nanoman Glass
Nanoman products are designed to cut your cleaning time significantly and eliminate the need to use aggressive cleaners that are harmful to our environment. We recommend cleaning only with water and wipe down with a soft cloth or towel. For optimal results, a simple hose down post-use and a squeegee sweep to eliminate water droplets further enhance the shine. Occasionally, you may have to use a mild/ph neutral cleaner to remove the occasional stubborn mark to keep your surface looking like new.
How long does it take for the coatings to set?
Nanoman Glass requires 30 – 60 minutes to cure during which time the surface should remain completely dry and untouched. In more humid conditions, curing time will be longer. After curing, the coated surface should be polished or wiped down with a soft cloth and if necessary with Nanoman Pre Cleaner to remove any remaining silanes or residue. The surface will be at its most effective after 24 hours and should be kept dry during this time if possible.
Can Nanoman Glass be used on other surfaces?
Yes, Nanoman Glass can also be applied to glazed tiles to prevent mould from developing and provide an easy clean solution to these areas as well.
How does Nanoman Glass compare with competitors?
Nanoman Glass uses the same SiO2 nano particles as brands such as Enduroshield, Nanokote and DFC Diamond Fusion. Specifically, Nanoman Glass utilises the highest quality and smallest nano particles available in its manufacturing process. This enables Nanoman to produce the most concentrated nano glass coating available.
The accepted performance test for glass coatings is contact angle of water droplets on coated glass. Enduroshield reports a contact angle of 101.8O dropping to 96.3O after the glass has been wiped 750 times. Nanoman Glass tests show an initial contact angle of 109O dropping to 103O after 1,000 wipes of the glass with a rubber blade (squeegee).
Higher contact angles result in glass surfaces being more repellent to water and other substances resulting in reduced staining need less cleaning and maintenance.

I have used similar products in the past and was looking for a different choice to reduce the smell, I tried this. The smell was a bit better but function was nonexistent. It does not minimize water adhesion to the shower walls or door. It is just as if nothing was applied. My intent was to have a product that reduced the amount of water, thus speeding dry time. I will be on the hunt for a different choice.
