Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal has been formulated for all watercraft and fibreglass surfaces. This coating has been specifically engineered for the harsh conditions that boats and other watercraft have to endure. It has been designed to make cleaning and maintaining boats easier, faster and less costly; as well as maintaining their appearance and investment value.
Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal creates a microscopically thin invisible barrier that prevents dirt and other foreign matter from adhering to or staining the surface. With the surface friction being reduced and the surface hydrophobic most contaminants are simply picked up by water (rain or manual spraying) and roll off the surface. Stubborn contaminants can be removed quickly and easily with water and a soft cloth in most cases. There is no need to use abrasive or environmentally damaging (and expensive) cleaners.
Surfaces are also protected from weather corrosion including the effects of UV. The coating itself will not degrade due to sunlight. It is very easy to apply and because the nanoparticles actually bond with the gel coat surface it will remain effective for up to 18 months. The coating is biologically safe and has a high resistance to scratches and abrasions. It can be used above and below the water line and in doing so, it will help make the cleaning of algae and other marine pollution much easier.
In addition to providing an outstanding protective barrier against weathering, Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal will also refresh the existing boat surface and leave it with a deep high gloss shine.

1. How does Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal work?
Nanoman coatings contain specifically modified functional nanoparticles that self assemble and organize to produce a two-dimensional net matrix on the coated surface. These surfaces become hydrophobic (water repellant) and non-stick. Water simply beads and rolls off the coated surface taking dirt and other contaminants with it.
2. Can Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal harm my boat?
No. Nanoman products create a protective barrier that will actually strengthen the surface. This barrier is only 50-100 nanometers thick, and is invisible to the human eye. Nanoman is UV resistant, anti-corrosive and has a high resistance to scratches and abrasions.
3. What is the durability of Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal?
This will depend on, exposure to environmental conditions and frequency and use of cleaners on the surface. However, under normal conditions, the coated surface should remain protected for up to 18 months on surfaces in good condition. We recommend reapplication once a season for ultimate protection of your boat.
4. Will I still have to clean the coated surfaces?
Yes. Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal will significantly reduce the amount of cleaning required however it will not eliminate it completely. You will however, no longer need to use chemical cleaners that are costly and damaging to the environment. We recommend cleaning only with water and a damp soft cloth or towel. Occasionally, you may have to use a mild/neutral cleaner to remove the occasional stubborn mark.
5. Can I use Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal on other surfaces?

6. Is the coating biologically safe?
Nano coatings have been tested by an independent institute and have been designated biologically safe and environmentally beneficial. Notwithstanding this, we recommend the wearing of gloves and that the work area is sufficiently ventilated. Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal should not be ingested and in the event of eye contact, washed out immediately with water.
7. Does temperature affect Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal?
Nanoman is stable at varying temperatures but is best applied at temperatures above 4° Celsius.
Recommended curing times will increase in high humidity. Nanoman should be stored in a sealed container, away from light, ideally within the temperature range +5° to +25° degrees Celsius.
The coated surface will be frost, temperature and UV resistant.
8. How long does it take for the coating to set?
Nanoman Boat Polish + Seal requires 60 minutes to cure during which time the surface should remain completely dry and untouched. In more humid conditions, curing time will be longer. After curing, the coated surface should be polished or wiped down with a soft cloth to remove any remaining silans or residue. The surface will be at its most effective after 24 hours and should be kept dry during this time if practical.
